But there are numerous that have done wonders for retailers everywhere. One great example of a thriving customer-centric sales strategy is Best Buy. While their launch costs in the short term were substantial, the strategy paid for itself with great growth in the quarters that followed. With the expectation that the economy will rebound, those companies that could not afford to implement these expansion plans in the past will hopefully have that option in the near future.

Although the trend in the economy has slowed the growth of the customer-centric model, it is certainly not going anywhere soon. Those retailers that are implementing a POS system in the short term can expect to see an easier to manage CRM, improved customer satisfaction rates, and an increase in bottom line long term due to greater customer purchasing power.
